I have been working at Erdős since January 2021. Currently, I am the Associate Director of the The Erdős Institute. In this role, I run the Deep Learning bootcamp, the UX Research bootcamp, and technical interview preparation. Previously, I was the Head of Data Science Projects for the data science bootcamps.

The goal of Erdős is to prepare PhDs for industry by creating a portfolio-worthy data science projects. The goal of Erdős is to prepare PhDs for industry by creating a portfolio-worthy data science projects. We have had participants from over 90 academic disciplines and 300 universities worldwide.

Some of my tasks have included:

• Working with Erdős’ corporate members to create data science project proposals that apply to real-world problems and data

• Teaching deep learning (e.g., SGD, NLP), UX research (e.g., user research, interviewing, product design), consumer insights (e.g., survey design, A/B tests, statistical analysis), and market research (e.g., market trends, competitive analysis, business deliverables)

• Leading a team of 10 data science project mentors

  • Industry-specific data science techniques (machine learning methods, web-app development, etc.)

  • Business value and KPIs

  • Developing skill sets necessary to transition from academia into business/industry positions

• Meeting with bootcampers weekly with all market-ready candidates and by holding open office hours

• Creating project instructions & problem sets, and curating study resources for all bootcamp attendees
